Leveraging your existing
Ethics in Action

Welcome to our Website. When I first started Action Ethics it was with a desire to help organizations that I knew had ethical practices, had ethical procedures and had ethical people working for them but who had trouble communicating this information to others.

As I became familiar with the Global Reporting Initiative, SustainAbility, ISO, the Standards Council of Canada and many, many other organizations interested in helping to change the reporting standards for large companies, I realized there was little advice available on which standards to use and how to implement them.

In addressing questions from the public on how to make ethical investments, I realized that I was preparing a road map for organizations worldwide. The details of the road map were being provided by stakeholders. It was from this first series of lectures that our existing strategies and formula for success has developed.

I hope that you are already part of an organization that is concerned with its environmental and social impact. I believe that in the years to come, all organizations will want to tell the world about their good work and understand the responsibility they carry to address environmental and social problems resulting from their generation of profit. In the end, I think their is a crucial balance to be struck between making money for shareholders and addressing the needs and concerns of stakeholders.

Those organizations that are first to adopt new reporting initiatives will be the leaders in the "new economy" and be the ones that retain their employees and their shareholders. In an ever increasing world of competition, every advantage counts. Having an ethical advantage is something every company should consider.

Sincerely

Christopher Moreno
